Wisconsin Wild Girls Hockey Association

Despite solid effort on the part of the Wisconsin Wild Girls U19 team, the girls left the first league showcase 1-3.  Friday night the girls faced Honeybaked, the first goal was put in by Macauly Bauer (assist Hawthorne) during the first period.  The Wild hung onto the lead until some penalities gave HB the opportuinty to put 2 in the net during the 3rd period.  Kelly O'Brien saved 22 shots.

Saturday morning the girls took on Grand Rapids, and easily walked away with the win- 7-1. Ashley Heitpas earned a hat trick, and Meagan Wanecke a play maker.  Other goals were put in by Kim Tess-Wanat,  Deneil Hoston (assist Hawthorne) and Kayte Holtz.  Erin Callahan stopped 10 GR shots.

November 8-9--In a 3 game series with the Minnesota Crunch; (post grad team from Grand Rapids, Minnesota)-the Wild tied all 3 games. 

6-6 , 4-4 and despite out shooting the Crunch on Sunday, 25-18, the girls tied again 3-3.  See the game center for more detail, and more pics in the photo gallery.

The U19AAA team had an opportunity to see St. Cloud State University Women take on Saskatchewan University.  Wild Alum Anna Donlan was in net!  Look in our photo gallery for more great pictures!
