Despite solid effort on the part of the Wisconsin Wild Girls U19 team, the girls left the first league showcase 1-3. Friday night the girls faced Honeybaked, the first goal was put in by Macauly Bauer (assist Hawthorne) during the first period. The Wild hung onto the lead until some penalities gave HB the opportuinty to put 2 in the net during the 3rd period. Kelly O'Brien saved 22 shots.
Saturday morning the girls took on Grand Rapids, and easily walked away with the win- 7-1. Ashley Heitpas earned a hat trick, and Meagan Wanecke a play maker. Other goals were put in by Kim Tess-Wanat, Deneil Hoston (assist Hawthorne) and Kayte Holtz. Erin Callahan stopped 10 GR shots.
