The Midwest Elite Hockey League Girls Division has announced its 2007-2008 Academic All Star winners. The Academic Award program, coordinated by Wisconsin Wild representative April Callahan, awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for players who attained grade point averages between 4.0 and 3.0, and additional awards for players whose grade point averages showed the most improvement over prior grades. The 2007-2008 Academic All Stars are:
Wisconsin Wild 14U – Gold Award to Michelle Greeneway. Silver Awards to, Myranda Hayes, Lauren Roethlisberger and Sarah Atkielski. Bronze Awards to Jennifer DeGeorge and Hayley Siira.
Wisconsin Wild 16U – Gold Awards to Rebecca Clifton, Abbie Hawthorne, Suzanne McGann, Emily Siira, Kelly O’Brien, and Allie Mueller. Silver Awards to Deven Staiger, Cassidy Radjenovic, Rachel Reynard and Shannon Coleman. Bronze Award to Deneil Hotson and Ripley Peller. Most Improved Award to Katie Hahler.
Wisconsin Wild 19U – Gold Awards to Kate Llaurado, Meagan Wanecke, Ashley Hietpas, Macauley Bauer, Kayte Holtz, Rachel Welz, Brookley Rogers and Erin Callahan. Silver Awards to Alyssa Englemann and Rachel Gasperetti. Bronze Awards to Michelle LaCombe and Ellie Dietzen.
